THE first dose of COVID-19 vaccine has been given to those who have not been vaccinated in Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region since 16 September.
To date, a total of 10,035 people have been vaccinated in the township, according to the township General Administration Department.
Under the leadership of the township administration, healthcare workers are conducting the vaccination works in accordance with the health regulations at four vaccination sites: Bo Ottama Hall of the Township General Administration Department, Lekaing Village Basic Education High School, Konzaung Village Basic Education High School, and Mezali Village Basic Education High School.
A total of 350 people received the vaccinations at the vaccination sites yesterday.
Staff of the Township General Administration Department, Township Fire Brigade and volunteer team assisted in the vaccination programme.
In Pwintbyu Township, people who have not yet been vaccinated are systematically vaccinated in priority groups to keep people safe from the virus and reduce the spread of the disease.
