Over 135000 saplings are being planted by Meiktila Township Dry Zone Greening Department for monsoon tree planting ceremony. 

With a view to greening natural environment and helping reduce climate change, the Forest Department is planting saplings of shady trees at the nursery. Now, a total of over 135000 saplings are being planted and all the saplings will be distributed to respective departments and social organizations during the monsoon season.
