A total of 1,790 Chinese tourists booked  return  trips  to  Muse  through  the  Myanmar-China  border  gate  (Nandaw  gate)  from  1  to  10  October  2019,  ac-cording  to  the  Directorate  of  Hotels and Tourism in the Muse office.


“The Chinese tourists are visiting Muse daily through the Myanmar-China  border  gate  (Nandaw gate). They visit tourist  sites  in  Muse,  through  arrangements made by licensed tour  companies,”  said  U  Han  Zaw Lin, the Assistant Director from the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism in Muse office.


The  Chinese  tour  groups  are  visiting  such  sites  as  the  105th Mile trade zone, ShweThamin  Kyaungtaw,  famous  pagodas, the Yarga Myaung cave pagoda, the municipal market and  Pan  Khan  national  races  village.


To  supervise  the  tourism  business  in  Muse,  the  Directorate  of  Hotels  and  Tourism  was  formed  to  promote  tour-ism  in  Muse  and  supervise  tours.


The  Chinese  tourists  visit  Muse  mostly  on  public  holidays, such as the Chinese New Year  in  February,  and  other  holidays  in  July,  August  and  October.


The number of tourists visiting Muse has increased 30 per cent from January to June 2019, compared  to  the  same  period  last year.
