Over 20000 saplings are being planted for monsoon season in Hpakant Township, Mohnyin District, Kachin State, according to the Township Forest Department. 

With the views to greening the natural environment and helping reduce climate change, saplings of shady trees will be planted across the nation in the monsoon season. A total of 26000 saplings of shady trees will be planted in the township during the monsoon season.
