The second day of a sale of gems and jades in the local currency continued at the Mani Yadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, putting up 260 gem lots and 3,108 jade lots for sale through an open tender system.
In the morning of the second day, gem merchants looked at the gem and jade lots displayed at the emporium and bid price proposals for their selected lots were put into the designated tender boxes.
Two hundred sixty gem lots will be sold through an open tender system on 10 June at the gem emporium.
The Gem Emporium will also put 1,050 jade lots, nos. 1 to 1,050, on 11 June, 1,050 jade lots, nos.1, 051 to 2,100, on 12 June, and 1,008 jade lots, nos. 2,101 to 3,108, on 13 June for sale through an open tender system. The purpose of the Gems Emporium selling with Myanmar currency being held from 8 to 13 June is local small merchants to provide local small merchants with raw materials and businesspersons with income.
