Over 75,000 acres of monsoon paddy were reaped in Mudon Township of Mon State, according to the Township Agriculture Department.

In order to achieve high yield, local farmers have earmarked to plant 75,000 acres of paddy this monsoon season by using agricultural water through a network of canals and ditches from the dam in 2024-2025 Fiscal year, and exceeding the planting target.

Monsoon paddy has been harvested in Mudon Township since the first week of November this year to plant winter crops on time. As of December, all monsoon rice in the Township has been reaped, yielding 5,210,408 baskets of rice.—Aung Myo Thu(IPRD)
