The Mandalay Mahamuni pagoda welcomed more than 93,000 tourists from July to November this year, according to statistics provided by the pagoda’s board of trustees. The pagoda collected an entrance fee from visitors from 1 July to 30 November.

“We sent Korean tourists to the Mandalay Mahamuni pagoda. They offered flowers and prayers at the pagoda. Then, they looked around the pagoda. In the evenings, we send tour groups to Mandalay Mountain, Kyauktawgyi pagoda, Kuthodaw Pagoda, and Shwenandaw Kyaung. We also send them to some significant places in Mandalay. The tour groups enjoy visiting Mandalay,” said Daw Soe Nyunt Kyaing, a tour guide.
