A total of 1.38 million ecstasy pills worth over Ks. 2 billion, were seized while being transported to Yangon Region, in Thazi Township, Mandalay Region, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint anti-narcotics task force, consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Squad, intercepted a truck traveling from the town of Muse, Shan State, to Yangon City. The truck, driven by Myo Min Oo, was stopped near Kywetatson Village in Thazi Township at 11:00 p.m. on January 24. The authorities seized 1.38 million stimulant tablets worth over Ks. 2 billion.
The suspects involved in the case have been charged under the country's laws, and further investigations are ongoing.—MNA
