The flat ground around Anyar Thiha Taw Pagoda will be renovated by spending more than Ks. 100 million starting on 1 May.
Anyar Thiha Taw Pagoda is located on a small island in the Ayeyawady River near KhinU Township, Sagaing Region. A group of geologists conducted a survey to check durability of the historic pagoda’s platform in February 2018. Renovation of the pagoda’s flat ground will be undertaken through three phases with over Ks. 100 million contributed by the regional government and the pagoda’s board of trustees. Renovation of the pagoda’s platform was awarded to Myanmar Geo Specialist Co Ltd, said Chairman of the township management committee U Thein Zaw.
