A major repair work for a bridge crossing the Myo Creek has started in Paingkyone Town, Hpa-an District in Kayin State on 24 June.
The intention of bridge repair work is to facilitate local people travel to other areas in a convenient manner. The 1,184 ft. long is being repaired by spending K 500 million allocated by the local government in the current fiscal year.
The bridge repair work is being undertaken by a group of construction workers from Special Bridge Group-14. The bridge will be closed temporarily from 1:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. while the maintenance work is being carried out.
