IN honour of the 81st Anniversa­ry of Armed Forces Day which fell on 27 March, posters featur­ing valiant, brave, and patriotic members of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy, and Air) have been placed at the traffic lights at Pinlaung Junction and near the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) in Nay Pyi Taw.

 

Similarly, along the road from Pinlaung Junction to the parade ground, Tatmadaw slo­gans have been displayed in both Myanmar and English, while the grand arch at the entrance to the parade ground can also be seen in a magnificent display.

 

At the entrance to the Tat­madaw parade ground and along both sides of the road, truss beams, light boxes, light­ing poles, LED strip lights, rain lights, uplights, programmed LED displays, colourful lights, and banners have been installed on the Tatmadaw columns. In addition, the national flag and the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy, and Air) flags, lighting effects, trees facing the salute stage at the Military Parade Ground adorned with handmade lights, and the two stars representing the Tat­madaw flag beneath the statues of the Three Kings are all deco­rated with LED strip lights.

 

Furthermore, in honour of the 81st Armed Forces Day in 2026, Tatmadaw Park located op­posite the Nay Pyi Taw Military Parade Ground has been illumi­nated with decorative lights and the national flag of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The 81st Anniversary of Armed Forces Day commemorative emblem, as well as scale models of Tat­madaw vehicles (Army, Navy, and Air), ships, aircraft, and helicopters, are on display. The park is also filled with small fibre statues of Tatmadaw members, decorated with flowers and col­ourful lights installed on trees.

 

In addition, various regions and states across the country are also illuminated with colourful lights and festive decorations in honour of the 81st Anniversary of Armed Forces Day. — MNA/KZL
