THE second-day of Peace Talk 2025 in accord with the motto “From Peace Talks to the New Peaceful Nation” took place at the National Solidarity and Peace­making Centre in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

 

In the first session of the Peace Talk, Secretary of National Solidarity and Peacemaking Ne­gotiation Committee Lt-Gen Min Naing presided over the “Politi­cal Affairs and Security”, and Dr Aung Myo discussed “Myanmar’s current peace processes and fu­ture potentials”.

 

Then, Member of NSPNC Lt- Gen Win Bo Shein (Rtd) led the “Economics and State Develop­ment Sector”, and Dr Zaw Oo dis­cussed “enhancing economic re­silience amid conflict mitigation”. The representatives coordinated the discussion and the speakers responded to the questions raised by the attendees.

 

At noon, U Maung Maung Nyein discussed “international relations, regional and interna­tional cooperation and Myan­mar’s peace role” in the “Political Affairs and Security” sector.

 

In “Economics and State De­velopment Sector”, Dr Nyo Nyo Thin discussed “constitutional amendments and the formation of a democratic federal Union”.

 

Attendees exchanged views about the talks. Relevant rep­resentatives made suggestions, held discussions and raised questions during the talks and the speakers presented clarifi­cations, and the event was con­cluded.
