“We opened the training course to manufacture household items on a wide scale from waste materials. Just as women can earn extra income, we can also conserve the environment at the same time”, said Daw Win Di, Managing Director of Kyut Kyut Center.

Kyut Kyut Center is operating with the support of Italy. The centre was officially founded in 2014 and has already provided 30 training courses to manufacture household items from waste materials. The current training will be conducted from 15 October to 3 December. Similar training courses have been opened in Chin, Rakhine, Kayar and Shan States.

The training courses include making household items, such as bags, boxes and cups by using coffee bags, tires, plastic bags, empty bottles and umbrellas. There are 12 women trainees this period.
