Pakokku, 18 February 

As part of efforts to implement social welfare programmes, a ceremony to provide cash to persons with disabilities was held at Mya-ayar hall of Pakokku Township General Administration Deparment, Magway Region this morning.

At the event, Pakokku District Deputy Commission U Myint Saung and Pakokku Preschool principal Daw Thiri Thein Myint of Social Welfare Department hander over K 53.49 million for 1,783 disabled people at a rate of K 30,000 per head to relevant ward and village administrators. 

Disable persons who remained unlisted can make contact the township officials concerned. Cash will be given to them after they underwent proper procedures, it is learnt.— Ko Zaw
