The Maravijaya Buddha Image which is located at the Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, is crowded with people from all over the country.

The Pagoda is the tallest sitting marble Buddha statue in the world.

Those who visited the pagoda peacefully studied the religious buildings, bridges, and gardens, as well as meditation practising, offering prayers according to the association, and giving donations with the zeal of charity and devotion.

The health workers are providing the necessary health care services to the elderly people who come to pay homage to the Buddha image.

The Myanmar Red Cross and the fire brigades members are also assisting the elderly people who have difficulty walking by transporting them with wheelchairs so that they can pay obeisance comfortably.

The marble statue will be open from 6 am to 8 pm until 3 September for people to come and pay their respects for free. — MNA/KZL
