The Maravijaya Buddha Image, the tallest of its kind in the world ally and situated within Nay Pyi Taw’s Buddha Park, is drawing crowds of pilgrims.
Ample spaces are dedicated to reciting Gathas, and 24 special chambers offer panoramic views of surrounding pagodas from the Maravijaya platform.
Traditional Thudhamma public resthouses, Sasana Beikman Agga Dhipati ordination hall, and other religious and leisure areas in Buddha Park have attracted pilgrims.
The health workers are providing the necessary health care services to the elderly people who come to pay homage to the Buddha image.
The Myanmar Red Cross and the fire brigade members are also assisting the elderly people who have difficulty walking by transporting them with wheelchairs so that they can pay obeisance comfortably.
The Buddha image is open to the public from 6 am to 8 pm until 3 September free of charge. — MNA/KTZH
