A local police squad seized one pistol and bullets in a search operation in Myawady, Kayin State on 18 May; the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.
    

The police received a tipoff that a suspected drug smuggler holding a gun was selling drugs in Ward-1, Myawady Township at around 11:30 p.m. on 18 May. The police went to the scene where they found three men identified as Myint Swe (alias) Shwe Ba, 55 yrs, Aung Aung (aka) Kawbu, 28 yrs, and Than Naing, 38 yrs.

The police also confiscated one pistol and six bullets from Myint Swe (alias) Shwe Ba. An investigation into the case is ongoing by the local police.—MOHA
