With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, Department of Rural Development under Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation organized a free plastic basket weaving course at B.E.P.S in West Nangat Village in Pakokku Township,  Magway Region this morning.

First of all, the region Hluttaw Representative Daw Zin Ni Ni Win delivered an opening speech. Then, staff officer of the Township Department of Rural Development clarified the purpose of the course and, called on the trainees to practically apply the lessons learned in the training to generate more incomes in their family.

The 15-day training course which will run from January 7 to 21 is being attended by 20 trainees from the village in the township, according to an official from the township DRD.—U Ki Lin Pe
