POETS and poetry lovers took part in the roundtable talks on poems held at Shwe Oo Daung Hall of the Ministry of Information in Yangon yesterday.

Saya Thitsa Ni gave a speech, and Chairman of Myanmar Poets’ Union (MPU) U Moe Kyaw Thu explained the successive sessions of the talks on poems and future programs.

Saya Maung Kyu Yint ex-tended greetings. Poets Saya Win Myint and Saya Moe Way gave talks under the topics -- literary and art sectors, poets and their biographies, and poetry experts, readers and resource persons, followed by a question and answer session.

MPU held the Poetry Evening I in commemoration of the centennial of Dagon Tar Yar at Maha Bandoola Park, Yangon, on 8 June. The present is the Poetry Evening II. Residential poets of Mandalay will collectively organize the Poetry Evening 3 in their cultural city soon.
