Hpa-an 3 April

In an attempt to ensure safety of the local people and reduce crimes during the water throwing festival (Thingyan), local police beefed up law enforcement activities in Hpa-an, the capital city of Kayin State under the close supervision of the district police force chief.

The local police force led by the head of district police force Police Lt-Col Thet Lin Oo and the commander of the township police force Police Major Tun Aung conducted search operations at Kawkareik Bridge, Zarthabyin Bridge, Thanlwin Bridge, and Donthami Bridge as well as entry and exit to the city.—Min Thu (Hpa-an)
