Policemen from Mohnyin Anti-Drug Squad-3 intercepted a motorbike driven by Zaw Win Maung at the entry gate of Namhlan Village in Hpakant Township and seized 2310 stimulant tablets on 18 May.
    

 

Similarly, police members from Taunggyi Anti-Drug Squad-25 on 19 May stopped two motorcycles driven by Yin Maung Lwin and Tun Tun Win at the entry gate of Bayagyigon Village in Ywangan Township and confiscated 18 kilos of raw opium and two mobile phones from them.


     
Local police members from Thipaw Police Station also intercepted an eight wheeled vehicle on Thipaw-Lashio Road in Pansaung Village, Thipaw Township where they seized 10200 liters of ethyl ether in the vehicle on 18 May.
    

 

Policemen from Keng Tung Anti-Drug Squad also searched for a PAJERO car driven by Win Myint at Naungnuam checkpoint in Ken Tung Township, Shan State and seized 87.3 kilos of Ketamine, K 709000 and four mobile phones.


    
In a similar incident, policemen from Tachilek Anti-Drug Squad-30 the same day raided the house of Daw Bauk Nan in Mekhaung Ward in Tachilect Town and seized 440 grams of heroin in the house.

 


Authorities filed charges against them under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, according the statement released by the Myanmar Police Force.—MPF
