Police seized an ownerless car and haul of stimulant tablets in a search operation in Monghsat Township, Eastern Shan State on 8 March.

 


An anti-drug squad led by Police Major Win Zaw conducted a search operation near Lweparyin-2 Village on the Tachilek-Monghsat Road at about 5:30 p.m. on 8 March. But the driver left the vehicle about 40 yards from the search team and fled the scene. Members of the team followed the suspected man who managed to escape from the scene.

 

The police discovered 2,000,000 stimulant pills which were concealed inside 13 polythene bags and related items which are used to make drugs in the car. In connection with the case, the police opened a file to identify the owner of the drugs.—Than Zaw (IPRD)
