A total of 232 acres of poppy fields in Kyaukkhar village, Hopong Township, Pa’O Self-Administered Zone, Shan State (South) were annihilated starting from November 27 to December 4.

On the occasion, officials from Shan State and Hopong Township Police Force, Anti-Drug Squad-25, Township General Administration Department, Township Fire Services Department, Township Agricultural Land Management and Statistics, Township Forestry Department and Township Agricultural Department, totaling 50 people destroyed the poppy plantations.
