Poppy plantations in Laikpay village, Hopong Township, Pa’O Self-Administered Zone, Shan State (South) were destroyed on December 29.

Officials from Township Police Force, Township General Administration Department and departmental personnel eradicated a total of 15 acres of poppy fields. In Hopong Township, officials annihilated the poppy cultivation starting from 27 November and a total of 802 acres of poppy fields were destroyed until 29 December, according to Township Police Force.
