The Department of Rural Development built a power transmission line in Aung Pinlal Lay Village, Ngaphe Township in Magway Region to ensure availability of electricity for local people round the clock.

The department allocated Ks. 10 million in the current fiscal year to construct 350 ft. long power transmission line. Construction of the power line commenced in the second week of March this year and was completed by cent percent at a cost of Ks. 11. 3244 million funded by the DRD and contributed by local people. The power transmission line benefits 306 people from 85 households in the village.

The DRD is implementing 12 rural developmental tasks including water supply, electrification and construction of multipurpose hall in 12 villages in the present financial year by spending Ks. 150. 3 million and all projects have been about 75 percent finished, said an official from the department.—Thurein (Minbu)
