A 230 kV power transmission line connecting Nabar, Shwebo and Ohntaw and a sub-power station are being built a Chinese firm named, “Central China Power Grid (CCPG) under the supervision of the power grid project (North) and the projects are 96 percent complete.
The new power transmission line will distribute electricity generated by Tarpein-1 Hydropower Plant through a 230 kV Bhamo-Nabar Power Grid and will link with the National Grid. The projects are slated to be completed in October this year and have been about 96 percent finished, an official from the construction company. Recently, Pyithu Hluttaw Representative for Indaw Constituency Dr. Daw Pyone and Regional MP U Than Win looked into progress of construction of the power transmission line and sub-power station.
Once the projects are in full operation, sufficient electricity will be supplied to vilages in Indaw, Bamouk, Pinlebu, Htigyaing, Wuntho, Kawlin, Kanbalu, KhinU, Shwebo and Wetlet Townships in Sagaing Region.—IPRD
