The paper reading session under the topic ‘Myanmar Culture, Myanmar Custom and Myanmar Perspectives’ entered its second day at the assembly hall of Printing and Publishing Department on Theinbyu Road in Yangon yesterday.
In the second day session, U Aye Cho (M.A) read his paper titled “Myanmar Cultural Perspective from Myanmar Custom Homily.”
On behalf of Dr Toe Hla, Assistant Director of Department of Historical Research and National Library Dr Naing Naing Kyi read the paper titled “Badon Min and Royal Decrees (Tracing history of the era from royal decrees).
Professor of the Myanmarsar Department Dr Nyein Nyein read the paper titled “Dress Patterns from Poems,” and Dr Soe Soe Naing (Yangon University) read the paper titled “Myanmar Farm-use Traditional Wooden Plow.”
On behalf of Dr Mo Mo Thant (Yangon University), Professor of the History Department in Yangon University of Foreign Languages Dr Khin Thida read the paper titled “Myanmar Society and Thilashin (Nun).”
The resource persons also discussed the questions raised by the attendees.
After the discussion, Director-General of Printing and Publishing Department U Aung Myo Myint made a closing remark, and presented the chairman and resource persons with gifts.
The Sarpaybeikman of Printing and Publishing Department, Ministry of Information, organized the paper reading session, with the aims of disseminating Myanmar culture, Myanmar customs and Myanmar perspectives among younger generations through the Myanmar literature, conserving Union standard and cultural standards, strengthening patriotic and nationalistic spirits via Myanma customs, perspectives and cultural heritages, and assisting unity among the Union ethnic races via literary heritages.
