The People’s Republic of China made a donation of US$ 0.4 million to the National Reconciliation and Peace Centre at the State Counsellor Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

The Centre’s secretary and Deputy Minister for the Office of the State Counsellor U Khin Maung Tin, the Directors-General, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Chen Hai and delegation participated in the event.

Chinese Ambassador Mr Chen Hai first explained the purpose of the donation for NRPC and presented the cash to the Deputy Minister for the Office of the State Counsellor U Khin Maung Tin. The deputy minister returned certificate of honour to the Chinese Ambassador.

The ceremony was concluded after the deputy minister expressed thanks for the donation.
