President U Win Myint and First Lady Daw Cho Cho hosted a reception and dinner to commemorate the 72nd Anniversary Union Day in the square in front of Nay Pyi Taw City Hall yesterday evening.

President U Win Myint, First Lady Daw Cho Cho and State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi arrived at the dinner venue at 6 p.m. and were welcomed by Vice President U Myint Swe and wife Daw Khin Thet Htay, Vice President U Henry Van Thio and wife Dr. Shwe Hlwan, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U T Khun Myat and wife Daw Yin May, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker Mahn Win Khaing Than and wife Daw Nant Kyin Kyi, Union Ministers and Nay Pyi Taw Council chairman and their wives. Next, President U Win Myint, First Lady Daw Cho Cho and State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi cordially greeted the Union level officials, Union Ministers, high ranking Tatmadaw officers, states/regions ethnic national ministers, leading members of the peace process, chairmen and representatives of political parties, Hluttaw representatives and states/regions ethnic national culture troupes who attended the dinner.

Afterwards the President, First Lady and State Counsellor had dinner together with attendees while Myanma Radio’s modern music troupe together with ethnic nationals provided entertainment with songs.
