President U Win Myint and First Lady Daw Cho Cho hosted a reception and dinner to commemorate the 72nd Anniversary Union Day in the square in front of Nay Pyi Taw City Hall yesterday evening.
President U Win Myint, First Lady Daw Cho Cho and State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi arrived at the dinner venue at 6 p.m. and were welcomed by Vice President U Myint Swe and wife Daw Khin Thet Htay, Vice President U Henry Van Thio and wife Dr. Shwe Hlwan, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U T Khun Myat and wife Daw Yin May, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker Mahn Win Khaing Than and wife Daw Nant Kyin Kyi, Union Ministers and Nay Pyi Taw Council chairman and their wives. Next, President U Win Myint, First Lady Daw Cho Cho and State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi cordially greeted the Union level officials, Union Ministers, high ranking Tatmadaw officers, states/regions ethnic national ministers, leading members of the peace process, chairmen and representatives of political parties, Hluttaw representatives and states/regions ethnic national culture troupes who attended the dinner.
Afterwards the President, First Lady and State Counsellor had dinner together with attendees while Myanma Radio’s modern music troupe together with ethnic nationals provided entertainment with songs.
The dinner was attended by Chief Justice of the Union U Htun Htun Oo, Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union U Myo Nyunt and wife Daw Htay Yi, Chairman of the Union Election Commission U Hla Thein and his wife Daw Aye Thidar, Tatmadaw Deputy Commander-in-Chief and Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, Amyotha Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Aye Tha Aung and wife Daw Thein Yin Chay, Pyidaungsu Hluttaw’s Legal Affairs and Special Cases Assessment Commission Chairman Thura U Shwe Mann and wife Daw Khin Lay Thet. Also in attendance were Union Ministers, Union Attorney General, Union Auditor-General, Union Civil Service Board Chairman, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, Central Bank of Myanmar Governor, Anti-Corruption Commission Chairman, Myanmar National Human Rights Commission Chairman and their wives, Chief of Staff (Army, Navy, Air), high-ranking Tatmadaw officers and their wives, Hluttaw Affairs committees chairmen, Deputy Ministers, states/regions ethnic affairs ministers, Hluttaw representatives, leading members of the peace process, chairmen and representatives of political parties, heads of departments, states/regions cultural dance troupes and invited guests.
