President U Win Myint received a delegation from the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam led by the Minister of Public Security, General To Lam, at the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

During the meeting, they openly discussed implementation of national reconciliation and internal peace in Myanmar, regional development in Rakhine State, cooperation in the Southeast Asian region and globally, bilateral cooperation in security and stability between Myanmar and Viet Nam, working together in countering terrorism, drug trafficking, and transnational crimes, increasing bilateral collaboration in agriculture, livestock, industry, air travel, communications, trade, and investment, and increasing working visits between the two countries’ high-profile representatives. Union Ministers Lt-Gen Kyaw Swe and U Min Thu, and other officials were also present at the meeting.—MNA
