With the aim of reducing loss and damage caused by disaster, officials from Magway Region Natural Disaster Management Department provided building materials to dilapidated houses in Ywathitgone village-tract in Pwintbyu Township this morning.

Construction materials were furnished to 150 households by officials from the Disaster Management Department, Township General Administration Department, village administrators and community leaders.

“Our township usually faces natural disaster so the officials carried out house repair to resist the disaster. Therefore, I’m very thankful to the officials”, said a woman of the locals.

Construction materials worth K 2,250,000 were provided to the needy locals in Ywathitgone village by the Disaster Management Department 2018-2019 Fiscal Year.
