Japanese Princess Yoko Mikasa, who is in Myanmar at the invitation of State Counsellor, and her entourage visited Yeway Japanese War Cemetery in Mingaladon Township, Yangon, yesterday morning.
The Princess, her party and officials from the Japanese embassy in Myanmar looked at the peace monument and other memorials in the cemetery. They took a flight to Bagan-NyaungU ancient city and arrived at the ancient cultural zone where they visited Alotawpyae and Shwezegon pagodas in the afternoon.
They viewed Bagan’s sunset from Nan Myint Tower at 5 pm.
