A private company operates two mini cruise ships in Pekhon Lake in southern Shan State close to the border of Kayah State.

The launch of business by the Lake Pekhon Houseboats Co.,Ltd was attended by Speaker of Kayah State Hluttaw U Hla Htway, Shan State Minister for Kayan Ethnic Affairs U Khun Aye Maung.

The private firm Lake Pekhon Houseboats is the operator of MVLPH Lity with three bedrooms for six passengers and MVLPH Cherry with six bedrooms for 15 passengers, which were built by the White Swan Boating Co., Ltd.—Maung Maung Htwe (IPRD)(Translated by Aung Khin)
