Public accountability course continues in Kawkareik Tsp  

Kawkareik, July 15   

A public accountability course, jointly organized by the District Information and Public Relations Department and Thwee Youths group, continued its second-day training session at the community centre in the town of Kawkareik, Kawkareik district, Kayin state this morning.

 First, U Min Kalein, person in charge of the youths group explained the aim of the course. Then, staff officer U Win Shein of the District IPRD works being carried out by the department and measures taken in collaboration with INGOs and NGOs in the district. Then, U Min Kalein delivered lectures on government and basic administration concepts, basic principles of public accountability. Afterwards, course instructor U Saw Nyein Moe discussed about public services programs and public involvement, undertaking a comprehensive review of the course. 

The two-day course was attended by a total of 28 trainees from wards 1 and 2 in the town of Kawkareik, it is learnt.—Khin Myo Win (IPRD)
