Officials from Environmental Conservation Department in Pyin Oo Lwin District, Mandalay Region conducted a public awareness discussion on environmental conservation at the congregation hall of Innhteik-U village, Pyin Oo Lwin Township this morning.

First, Assistant Director U Maw Maw Ko shared knowledge on environmental conservation with local people, detailing the need to live in accord with climate change, to cultivate good habits for forest conservation and to reduce use of plastics and disposable items. In addition, the disadvantages of using plastics were clarified with educational stories with a video clip, which was followed by Q and A session between officials and attendees.

Next, educational books and pamphlets about environmental conservation were disseminated to the attendees.
