Public talks on rural development were conducted at the congregation hall of a monastery in Kanbyu village, Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region on 4 April.

 

An official from the Information and Public Relations Department said that the public talks were aimed at promoting local people’s creative thinking and encouraging them to actively take part in discussions. MP U Moe Kyaw Thu of Sagaing Regional Hluttaw urged the locals to table the needs of the village in the dissuasion.

 

Officials from Sagaing Regional Hluttaw, Shwebo District Rural Development Department, Shwebo District Public Health department, Department of Consumers Affairs, Department of Irrigation and Water Management, Department of Agriculture, Department of Education led the discussion and clarified the works that have been implemented by their departments. Afterwards, the local residents asked about matters relating to road construction, education, water supply and health care services to officials.

 

A total of 120 people including departmental personnel and local residents were in attendance.
