With the aim of raising awareness among youths  of the danger of drugs, public talks titled “Youth and Scourge of Drugs” were conducted at B.E.H.S-2 in the town of Thongwa, southern district, Yangon yesterday.

First of all, U Nay Win, the region Hluttaw representative delivered an opening speech. Afterwards, U Nay Win, Police Capt. Aung Naing Oo, Commander of the township Police force, U San Shein, chairman of Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control and officials detailed scourge of drug, smoking, alcohol and betel chewing, and prevention measures against drug and answered queries raised by those present on the occasion.

Altogether 350 people including departmental officials, students, teachers and invited guests attended the talks.—Daw Tin Tin Htway, Township IPRD
