The 12th day meeting of the Second Pyidaungsu Hluttaw’s 12th regular session was held at Pyidaungsu Hluttaw meeting hall yesterday morning. After detailed explanation by union level officials Hluttaw approves Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Union Supplementary Budget Allocation Bill. Earlier, the Hluttaw was also explained about US$ 100 million IDA loan for which the Hluttaw will discuss at a later date.
Hluttaw explained about US$ 100 million IDA loan
In the first agenda of the day Hluttaw was explained about the particulars of World Bank International Development Association (IDA) loan US$ 100 million to Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement sent by the President for financial support program to expecting mothers and under 2 years old children. Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Win Myat Aye and Deputy Minister for Planning and Finance U Sett Aung gave detailed explanation about the loan.
Following the explanation, Hluttaw representatives who want to discuss the matter were informed to register their names.
Next, Joint Public Accounts Committee Report on Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Union Supplementary Budget Allocation Bill, principles and basis of discussions on it by the Hluttaw representatives were responded to and explained by Union Minister for Construction U Han Zaw, Deputy Minister for Education U Win Maw Tun, Deputy Minister for Health and Sports Dr. Mya Lay Sein and Deputy Minister for Planning and Finance U Sett Aung.
Afterwards, Joint Public Accounts Committee Deputy Chairman U Aung Min (Zalun constituency) tabled a paragraph wise motion on the Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Union Supplementary Budget Allocation Bill. Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker then obtained the comments of union level organization members and the Hluttaw’s decision to approve it.
Later, Deputy Minister for Planning and Finance U Sett Aung tabled a motion for the Hluttaw to approve the entire Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Union Supplementary Budget Allocation Bill as discussed and approved by the Hluttaw.
Following this, Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker announced the Hluttaw’s approval of the entire bill after obtaining the decision of the Hluttaw.
