PYITHU Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Tun Tun Hein received a delegation led by U Thiha Kyaing, Chairman of the Phoenix Association, yesterday at his office in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on amending law of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Law enacted on 14 February 2018, difficulties faced by civil society organizations regarding the law, suggestions of legal experts and policies and procedures.

Present at the meeting were Pyithu Hluttaw Bill Committee Chairman U Khin Maung Win, Amyotha Hluttaw Bill Committee Chairman U Zaw Min, secretary of Pyithu Hluttaw Bill Committee U Kyaw Soe Lin, Secretary of Amyotha Hluttaw Bill Committee Dr Myat Nyana Soe and officials from the Pyithu Hluttaw office.—MNA (Translated by TTN)
