Some houses, monasteries and schools were damaged after a rainstorm swept through some villages in Pauk Township, Pakokku District, Magway Region at about 5:00 pm yesterday.

The strong wind destroyed three houses in Palaung Village, four houses in Kyaukmytaung Village, two houses in Kyauktaka Village, nine houses in Myeni(north) Village, a monastery in Paukchaung Ahtetsu Village, two houses in Thayettaw Village, 17 houses and one monastery in Linhtaung Village, one house in Khintanshi Village, two houses in Moekaung Village, 62 houses and a school in Hmiapaing Village, one house in Shwebungthar Village, two houses and a monastery in Khinaye Village, one house, a school and a monastery in Lepinaint Village.

The strong wind damaged the roof of 106 houses, four monasteries and a school and collapsed four houses in the Township.—Nyan Toe, Pauk IPRD
