RAKHINE State Chief Minister U Nyi Pu met with the locals at Dwarawati Hall of Thandwe Township, Rakhine State, on 11 December afternoon.
At the meeting, the Chief Minister explained the threeyear term of local government’s responsibility and accountability without corruption on regional development works.
He also asked about difficulties of the region, requirements and recommendations of the locals.
The Administrator of Thandwe District briefed on the completion of regional development programmes in respective financial years and plans for upcoming years.
The Chief Minister then coordinated with Hluttaw representatives and departmental officials on the needs in education, health, transportation, development of sports, supply of drinking water, construction of a new market, technical assistance to the fishery workers and formation of Ngapali Town Development Committee.
After the meeting, Chief Minister U Nyi Pyu handed over Kyats 1 million for procurement of X-ray films at the Thandwe District General Hospital and another Kyats 1 million for renovation of school toilets at the high school of Ngapali. — Maw Si, Ko Min (Translated by Aung Khin)
