The Committee for Supporting Peace and Stability in Rakhine State (CSPSRS) held a coordination meeting for the compilation of its final report yesterday at the Hluttaw Building I-20 in Nay Pyi Taw.
Speaking at the meeting, U Aye Tha Aung, the chairman of the committee, said facts about local conflicts in Myanmar have been collected from experienced persons.
The secretary of the committee was assigned to compile a draft report that was based on the collected facts, he added.
“The draft report will be discussed at the meeting so that it can be edited, added to, and deleted by the committee’s members. The edited version of the report will be compiled as the second draft report,” U Aye Tha Aung said.
The second draft report will be discussed and edited in the next meeting to finalize the third draft report, which will then be signed by the committee’s members and submitted as the final report, the chairman said.
Afterwards, U Tin Myint, the secretary of the committee, explained the draft report with the help of a projector.
The committee members then coordinated over changes for the draft report.
Afterwards, committee chairman U Aye Tha Aung made the concluding remarks.
Also present at the meeting were the committee’s deputy chairman (1), Union Minister for Information Dr. Pe Myint; deputy chairman (2), Rakhine State Chief Minister U Nyi Pu; and, members Deputy Attorney-General U Win Myint, Rakhine State cabinet minister Colonel Min Than, Yangon Region cabinet minister U Zaw Aye Maung, Deputy Minister for Science and Technology (Rtd.) Dr. Nyi Hla Nge, and the deputy chief of the Myanmar Police Force, Police Maj-Gen Aung Naing Thu.
