The owner of Rakhine United FC, U Zaw Min Thein donated Ks. 8 million to displaced people in Rakhine State through officials from the Joint Committee for Providing Assistance to Internally Displaced Persons.

The donation was made during a ceremony held at the meeting room of the Rakhine United, a Myanmar National League club in Sittway on 20 February. The ceremony was also attended by executive committee members of the club and Vice-Chairman of the Rakhine United FC and Actor Nay Htet Lin. The contribution is equivalent to 80 bags of rice.

An official from the Joint Committee for Providing Assistance to Internally Displaced Persons presented a certificate of honour to the chairman of the club.—MNL
