A reading skill contest for primary level students was held at the community center of Laymyethna Township Information and Public Relations Department in Ayeyarwady region yesterday afternoon. 


At the event, Daw Khin Wai Wai Myint, head of the township IPRD explained the purpose of the contest and rules, saying that the contest is held to make children comprehensively aware of the scourge of human trafficking, the benefits of reading and to help develop their knowledge.


A total of 25 schoolchildren from primary school in ward-2 in Laymyethna township participated in the contest.


The head of the township IPRD and teachers presented awards to those who won first, second and third and consolatory prizes in the contest.
