A ceremony to open a state level refresher training course for teachers who will teach the new Grade-11 curriculum in 2022-2023 Academic year was held at the meeting hall of No. (3) Basic Education High School in the town of Kengtung, Shan State (East) at about 8:00 am on 16 May.

First, member-2 of Shan State (East) sub-Administration Council Dr. Hla Shwe and Assistant Director of the state sub-education officer’s office Daw Nan Khin Htway Yi delivered speeches. The training course which runs from May 16 to 18 is being attended by 108 teachers from Basic Education High Schools in the Township.

In addition, a ceremony to open a township level refresher training course for teachers who will teach the new Grade-8 curriculum in 2022-2023 Academic year was also held at the meeting hall of BEHS-2 in the Town of Kengtung. The training course which also runs from May 16 to 18 is being attended by 287 teachers from Basic Education Middle Schools in the Township.—Aung Zin Myint(IPRD)
