With the aim of ensuring fire safety and carrying out natural disaster protection, search and rescue operations, a refresher training course for auxiliary firefighters was jointly organized by the Township Fire Services Department and General Administration Department at the meeting room of GAD in Kyainseikgyi Township, Kayin State yesterday.

At the event, the Township deputy Administrator U Wai Yan Kyaw delivered an opening speech. Next, staff officer of the township Fire Services Department U Aung Than Win clarified the purpose of the training course.

The 26-day training course is being attended by 50 auxiliary firefighters from villages in the township. As part of efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, local authorities conduct a refresher training course for auxiliary firefighters in accordance with the rules released by Ministry of Health and Sports.
