A ceremony to open a refresher training course for auxiliary firefighters was held in the town of Tedim, Chin State this morning.

At the event, the township Administrator U Ko Suang Khai delivered an opening speech. Then, an official from the township Fire Services Department clarified the purposes of the training course. This was followed by the presentation of uniforms to auxiliary firefighters by the township Administrator.

With the aim of ensuring fire safety and carrying out natural disaster protection, search and rescue operations, a refresher training course for auxiliary firefighters was organized by the Township Fire Services Department.

The training course which will run from March 4 to 26 is being attended by 50 auxiliary firefighters from Tungzan, Thalmual, Phaiza and Tuithang villages in the township.—Pau Cin Mung, IPRD
