With the aim of ensuring fire safety and carrying out natural disaster protection, search and rescue operations, a refresher training course for auxiliary firefighters was opened at the office of the district Fire Services Department in Thaton, Mon State yesterday.

First of all, Minister for Ministry of Mon State Security and Border Affairs Colonel Nay Htut Oo made an opening speech and clarified the purpose of the training course. 

The 24-day training course which will run from January 7 to 31 is being attended by 100 auxiliary firefighters in the township.—Thet Oo(Thaton)
