Yesterday, Lt-Gen Thet Pon from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) observed the clearance of debris at the religious sites in Sagaing, and the land area to reconstruct the Maha Zedi Hla Pagoda severely destroyed by the quake, and other cleaning activities in the compounds of pagodas and nunnerise.
Likewise, Lt-Gen Soe Tint Naing from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) inspected the removal of damaged parts of the Yadanabontha Pagoda and clearing of debris at the Myinwun Mingyi monastery in Mahaaungmyay Township, systematic clearing of damaged staff housing with the use of heavy machinery in Chanmyathazi Township, and fulfilled the needs. — MNA/KTZH
