State Administration Council Member Daw Dwe Bu, accompanied by Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Soe Win, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, and officials, delivered supplies to the displaced persons camp at AG Church at 8th Mile in Naungnan.
The relief supplies included unisex shirts, 50 bags of rice, four cartons of canned fish, 243 cartons of instant noodles, 20 jerrycans of 10-viss cooking oil, purified drinking water bottles worth K9.43 million, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and soap worth K27.689 million, donated by the Head of State and the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.
Subsequently, she handed over K52.193 million in financial aid provided by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement to the Kachin State Chief Minister for evacuees who relocated from conflict zones to Myitkyina and Waingmaw.
Furthermore, the SAC Member and their team addressed flood issues in Myitkyina, particularly in the low-lying areas of Rampu ward, where homes were inundated by river water. They also inspected sediment deposits and organized evacuation drills to ensure prompt responses to future disasters. — MNA/ TRKM
